Environment

Our office operates out of concern for the safety of our patients and the well being of our planet. As part of that credo, we have invested in equipment that serves both of those tenets. These systems are more expensive than the traditional equipment but are well worth the investment. Please see our Environment section for an in depth look at both the equipment and how they benefit you and the world we live in.

Vision

We look after the needs of our patients so thoroughly and with the highest level of competence, integrity, care & caring that they feel privileged to be members of our community. They respect our value, accept our recommendations & invite others to become lifelong members.

Values

We care for our patients with the highest level of integrity. If it is not in the best interest of the patient, we do not do it. Each patient expects us to treat them as a whole & ensure their every need is met. We are connected to expertise & resources that amplify our strengths & inspire our mission. We find ways every day to recognize, celebrate & show gratitude for the achievements of all members of our community.

The Wand Anesthetic Delivery System

thewandlogo.jpg

The WandPain scores Control (syringe) past ntroducting The Wand is a computer-controlled dental injection device for administering local anaesthetic. The flow rate of the local anaesthetic is controlled by the computer. The precise control of both the anaesthetic flow rate and pressure produces a comfortable injection. Researchers have found that the Wand induces less anxiety than any other injection method (Kudo et al, 2001).

Controlled Comfort

We've found another way to make our patients smile! We have a new computer controlled anesthetic delivery system, The WAND. The WAND lets us administer injections with little or no discomfort to our patients, since the flow and volume of anesthetic are delivered slowly, below the pain threshold. The system even places a drop of anesthetic at the site of injection, prior to needle insertion, preparing an anesthetic pathway.

Rapid Recovery

Another benefit we can offer our patients by using the WAND, is that we now need only numb the actual teeth we're treating, rather than the entire lips or face. This means that we can eliminate residual numbness, drooping lips, and the resulting difficulties of resuming normal activities. This rapid recovery allows you to schedule dental procedures without canceling the rest of your day's responsibilities.

Outstanding Outcomes

All in all, the WAND has given our patients another reason to be relaxed about their dental treatment. Instead of wariness or apprehension prior to an appointment, they can look forward to a stress-free experience, and enjoy the results of our excellent dental care.
